Property Buyers Snap Up Over RM90million in Local Real Estate at MAPEX Penang 2012

Penang, 27 April 2012  – All signs point to a healthy property market as over RM90 million worth of properties were transacted at the recent MAPEX Penang 2012. The property exhibition organised by Malaysia (, on behalf of REHDA Penang, showcased the newest property developments in the market across Malaysia.

The record expo sales figures are testimony that the appetite for properties remained strong and even far exceeded expectations in some cases. IJM’s collection of The Light properties were hugely popular amongst visitors over the three day expo with 12 units sold for over RM15 million. Magna Putih’s Mansion One development was snapped up totalling over RM11 million with 19 units sold. Land & General also enjoyed brisk sales with 19 units worth over RM11 million sold.

Visitors to MAPEX 2012 were also treated to a host of leading property experts in the industry giving tips, tricks and advice on making sound property investment decisions during the seminar sessions. Popular amongst visitors was a presentation by Mr. Richard Oon on ConsulNet Tax Services who gave indispensible advice on ‘Tax Implications of Property Transactions’. Another crowd pleaser was a session on ‘Benefits of Buying Property from Developers’ by property investment guru, Milan Doshi. Those interested in foreign investment were given tips and tricks on property investment in Australia by Ameer Abas from OZ Property Group.

Registered visitor to MAPEX 2012 were also given the opportunity to walk away with attractive prizes valued over RM 70,000 from Deep Living, Signature Kitchen, KaraBest and Korea Wallpaper. Lai Teik Hooi won a complete living and dining design package from Deep Living worth RM30,000. Grace Chew was another lucky winner who walked away with a full furniture design package also from Deep Living worth RM15,000.
