CommercialAsia.com Reports That Interest in Commercial Property Remains Strong

May 3, 2012

Glenn Thompson, General Manager of CommercialAsia.com, the region’s largest dedicated commercial and industrial property portal, today reported that the despite speculation of a slow property market growth, the portal experienced substantial growth in unique visitors, up from around 20,000 in January to nearly 50,000 in April this year.

The barely six month’s old portal, which operates under the iProperty Group, Asia’s No.1 network of property portals, offers the most comprehensive listings of office, industrial and retail properties across multiple sub-categories and countries.

“The growth in the number of unique visitors to the site is a clear indication that the interest in commercial property is thriving. Commercial property continues to draw capital and interest from investors all through the region,” said Thompson who has been spearheading the portal since January this year, after establishing iProperty.com Singapore as the No.1 property portal in the country.

He added that to-date, the portal features over 50,000 commercial and industrial properties for sale and lease posted by over 7,000 agents across Asia Pacific.

“It is clear from our traffic growth that commercial property investors and company management looking for commercial property for lease appreciate having a site that is dedicated to commercial property” he added

He elaborated that CommercialAsia.com was designed to provide property investors who are looking for a platform to search for properties outside of their country of residence with minimal hassle.

Commenting on the new features added to the site, Thompson said that as a portal that caters to the needs of investors from around the world, the team saw the need to have multiple languages added to the site, to make the search even easier.

“Consumers now have the option of searching for properties in English, Chinese or Bahasa Indonesia. We are bridging the language barricade with the introduction of the multiple search in different languages,” said Thompson

He added that another unique and highly innovative feature on the site is the usage of geo targeting, a feature which helps identify  the country in which the consumer resides and presents the search box in the most appropriate language. Search results are available in six different currencies.

Thompson believed that CommercialAsia.com also acts as a conduit not just for international advertisers but also for local advertisers. CommercialAsia.com provides advertisers with the most comprehensive and cost effective platform to reach potential investors not just in Asia but around the world, with a vast majority of visitors from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia and Hong Kong Hong.

“We provide marketers of commercial properties an avenue to reach a wider and more targeted audience in the most cost effective and highly efficient manner. By capitalising on the iProperty Group’s existing network of property portals across Asia which attracts over 3.5 million unique visitors per month, our reach is far and wide, giving our advertiser and agents the competitive edge. Since the launch, we have since a significant growth in the number of advertisers and agents using our portal to list their listings,” he added

CommercialAsia.com not only provides property investors with up-to-date news on the industry but also the most comprehensive listings of office, industrial and retail properties across multiple sub-categories and countries.

“Given the growth in the commercial property sector, we are really pleased with the early results and are confident that we will continue to achieve for our consumers and advertisers”, concluded Thompson
